Friends, I've been at this hobby for over 35 years now and have

always liked looking at OTHER hobbies that co-exsist with ours on

the shelves of our local hobby shop. My son Ryan grew up with his

Dad always a model rail so when he got big enough to sit at the

workbench I encouraged him to build models of what he liked. He went

through a lot of different venues but settled on 40K War Gaming

which is a Fantasy type of gaming. Well in March issue he has an

article and sent ol'Dad a copy and I was astonded by the quality and

detail they put in their stuff. I won't go into it here as it hasn't

a thing to do with us,but the point I want to make is I'd like all

of you who can, check out the magazine "White Dwarf" by Games

Workshop. The modeling and most of all the painting and weathering

these guys do is just fanominal. They have different names for the

shades of their paint but red is red in any hobby and this mag is

100% color on glossy paper and is monthly with 144 pages the norm

and sells for $6.00@ We should be so lucky. If you can't locate a

store in your area that carries it check with me off line and in the

currant issue is a listing of all the shops in the country that

sells it. Matbe I could get my son to do an article for our files.

With all that said I'll go back and read somemore of this great

stuff. Now I'm in no way connected to Games Workshop or anything

else to do with White Dwarf or any shop. Dave Powell Iowa
