I live just north of Barrie Ontario Canada. Looking for a store either online or brick & mortar, that sells a good selection of LED lights, light strips, 12V transformers etc for reasonable prices. All I have here is Sayal.

Try Princess Auto, Westburne, Ideal Supply, Brafasco, Home Depot,

Lowes, Rona etc.

Ordering through ebay from companies in Hong Kong or China will get you the best prices; sometimes, it takes 2-3 weeks for delivery, though.

thanks to all who answered my question. Perhaps I worded my question a

little too vaguely or you guys are just born comedians & enjoy taking the

mickey. Not sure I could find a 12V transformer at Rona or nano lights at

Westburne. I was actually looking for model or hobby shops within a

reasonable driving distance.

To Ed & Steve who suggested eBay China.... spot on! and I have never minded

the shipping wait. Being a bit of a newbie with tiny lights, I'm still at

the stage where I feel more comfortable buying something I can see ....hence

my original question.

But thanks all the same guys! I may check out Princess Auto...

12v transformers are very common at places like Rona or Home Depot as

they are often used for low voltage outdoor landscaping and for

indoor use such as track lighting.

As far as Westburne they are a major electrical supply and have a

wide assortment of LED strips. Seeing as you never mentioned nano

lights in your original post that is why I suggested them. They do

have a number of LED products that could be useful for model railroad

use such as tape light strips etc. And they also would have 12v

transformers to power them.
