i just re posted the photos into a newly created album titled """ #120

wing-chu-quan chinese laundry""".

Structure is O scale and its walls are made of hydrocal dental plaster.

This has very light weathering to it. I do not enjoy distressing the

heck out of these and dry brushing all over the place where it gets to

the unreal world look i never have run across in real world travels.

The mortar joints are very tiny on purpose, as i think a lot of time

we overdo the heaviness of the mortar joints. I always just like to

experiment with different techniques and looks.

I have used this paint colour on bricks a couple of times now and i

really like it. Its poly scales oxide thinned 50%, washed with a

coating of alco higgins ink to tone it down. The mortar joints are done

with a wash of artists gesso + water , really really thinned out .

The roof tar paper is craft paper painted with grimey + weathered black

and engine black on the seams. A darker wash mix of alco ink followed

by a spray of dull cote to the roof gives the G Sellios 'accidental

fading technique' he wrote of in the early 90's gazette.

Yes, very nice, is that Paper Creek or is it real? Glad to see you tone down the mortar lines, looks more like the prototype.
