Some food for thought.

Hat's are a great advertising media. Stimulates conversation, product endorsement, and shows a pride in ownership. Hats should be embroydered, and of very high quality. Subliminaly, and from a tactile point, it can show the quality of what can be expected in a manufacturer's product.

As an example, I have witnessed ungodly amounts of money donated to get a beautifully embroyderd hat, at a ducks unlimited banquet. There is a sense of pride in wearing a quality hat of a group you relate to, or with that of a world class product, like a TEC scope. If your going to do it, do it right; consider a hat as one of your representitives. You don't even have to pay for the advertising, the customer and potential customer will do that.

I'll buy one, even though I want an Eclipse first.

While the hat concept is very nice,it seems to me that the real popular mover would be a TEC logo designed t-shirt and/or sweat-shirt, much like AP and several other mfrs. have made available for purchase in their line.

I guess I am a hat lover, I wear on every day. With hat's though, one size usually fits all.

Cafepress.com makes it easy.  Upload a logo and print hats, tshirts, etc.

We will take care about TEC hats - just need a bit of time.

When we had them in stock, every scope shipped had hat enclosed, will do the same.

What about us, faithful TEC lovers and addicts, who have received our scopes already, without the Hat? ;)

We need a token for our faithfulness....

Emanuele,

the rules are simple - as I said "when in stock, every scope shipped had hat enclosed". Your addicts and faithfulness will force you to order new scope - and the hat be enclosed... (-:

Yuri... :)

well if these are the rules then I have to follow them!

I need the Hat now, and I want it so badly that I am forced to buy the TEC6" Mak! Of course just to have the hat. My head is waiting to be covered.

You need my shipping address Yuri?

I created a file named TEC Hat.. It shows the 200ED version of hat I recieved a few years ago along with my scope. It shows a little wear, but with good reason.. and it's been a conversation piece as well as good advertisement for Yuri..

I think I asked Yuri a few years ago about the possibility of buying

some TEC merchandise since I think the logo is very cool and because I

am proud of my two TEC scopes + TEC turret. IIRC, he didn't seem very

interested. I think these types of items would sell to many of us

customers. If nothing else, the logo could be made available as a

transfer to make our own TEC T-shirts or other items. Just a thought...

A fellow Dallas astro club member gave me a TEC hat a few years ago at a

Texas Star Party. I don't wear it often because that type of hat

(baseball cap type) messes up my hair and isn't very comfortable.

Not sure what it's made of but the hats obtained with the purchase of another USA scope brand that starts with "t" are very comfortable, I would assume they have a decent % of cotton.

I would buy a hat and a t-shirt :)

He should use cafepress.com

Even the North Korean State uses it for their logos.  Upload the logo, get what ever you want (controlled by Tec).

Easy solution, no vendor or minimums, each is custom.

Jeff, thanks.

I have ordered a couple samples of hats to see how it works.

One was military Olive with square logo

Other was stonewashed Desk-blue with round one
