Hi friends, I am new to this group so let me first say Hello to all

the guys here in the list. My name is Paolo Lazzarini and I have a

question, as per subject.

Having to couple the 140 FF to the STL11 (8 position filter wheel) is

there a specific adapter produced somewhere or shall I machine it on

purpose ?

I could, in principle, try to shorten the one I have for the standard

STL 5 position but the telescope is installed at a remote location in

Australia..

If you have suggestions please let me know...

I don't have an answer to your question, but I would like to welcome

you to the group and to the Tec family.

Paolo:

I also have an STL-11KM with the 8 FW, but instead of using the plain

nosepiece to mount it on the 2" focuser draw tube of the scope, I made

myself a 2 part quick-connect adapter. I did put some photos of it in

my photo album, it consists on one part that screws on the filterwheel

side and the other on the threads of the telescope focuser side. One of

the parts has a cone machined and the other a case that has 3 brass

screws that hold the cone down tight and square to the case. This

connector is very easy to use, just put them together and tighten the

brass screws, it is very solid and it always keeps the camera square to

the focuser and very easy to put it on and off.

Best regards,

Eric. (M.xico)
