This 20% is a thorn in my ass. It looks like I was making more on my PUT vertical strategy.

My necked SPX PUTs are around 5% ITM and about 3.30 credit. The 20% stress test is preventing me from making more money.

If I was doing my SPX PUT vert strategy with 50% margin on a 4-strike wide SPX PUT, I would be doing 47 contracts with a credit of .40 for about $1,731.12 profit per week. I was doing about 10K a month with good turnover per week.

I think I will go look around 7% ITM.

The 20% stress also kills me, but look at it as a way that you really don't want to have that much risk on. 20% look far away but at this market levels it isn't, for me the name of the game is to be able to come play the next day.

I try and go naked on spx and verticals on other underlines like ndx or rut. I try to mis it up.

Best.

I wonder if Karen had to deal with the 20% stress test when she made her first 30 Million?

I still wonder that,

Cause she had always said that she likes to be invested at 40% and some times goes up to 70%. If I do 50% of my buying power, the 20% rule goes to effect and Im at only close automatically.

So not exactly sure how she does that. Also if some one can confirm that you are at only close after 2x net liq at 20% stress test, cause it seem to me they put you there at much less than that, but its only my perception of it.

Thanks,

Antonio
