I have recently obtained a softrock ensemble tx/rx and want to get it to work with multipsk. I have two external USB sound cards available and one internal one. I have fiddled about for some time but can't get it to work. I am using win7, a Behringer USB soundcard and a soundblaster mp3+ soundcard.

I started by running HDSDR at the same time and can get multipsk to TX but get a tx image that I can't null out with the I/Q controls. It doesn't rx properly either, I get a lot of noise displayed. I wonder if multipsk running alone is enough. I would like to be able to change the frequency with multipsk also but I could use CFGSR if need be.

I can get HDSDR to work OK and can reduce the TX/RX images just fine. That just gives me SSB though, not data modes.

Has anyone on the forum used multipsk with softrock ensemble tx/rx?

Thanks,

Hello Lucien,From the manual, that.s what I noted (however I have no Softrock):Control of the transceiver SdR Softrock I2C ("Softrock" button)Multipsk proposes the possibility to control the frequency (+ the RX/TX switching) of a Softrock I2C SdR transceiver thanks to the "cmdSR" commands freely proposed by KT6F.

For additive information about the cmdSR commands and to download the new utility CMDSR.ZIP file, see sdrbuzz.com/forum/showthread.php?t=141 and sdrbuzz.com/forum/showthread.php?t=140 Note: before all, adjust the microphone gain on the sound card connected to the Softrock to 100% on the mixer. It is reminded that to demodulate (before decoding) the I/Q signals from the receiver, it is compulsory to start the integered "I/Q interface for SdR". For this, from the Configuration screen (the first opened) push the "Softrock" button (or the "Direct via the sound card" button). Although not indispensable (except in broadcast FM), you can push the "+Speaker" button to listen to the demodulated sound.I hope you have more answers.73Patrick
