HI Patrick and to all friends in the list!

In these days I'm trying the "Multipsk test v4.24 beta2 and 3" with my many sdr RTL2832U dongles (E4000 and R820T).

On my side I highlight some problems in the use of SDR RTL.

Initially I believed not to have everything set up correctly, but now I read that there are other guys with similar problems...

In a few words in the 88-108 FM band I cannot have any useful signals (only "red colour" in the waterfall) and also the audio is just noise from speaker without any FMW demodulation.

Thanks for your attention and for your immense work!

Paolo, iz1mll

Hello Paolo,

Let's suppose that you use the test version 3 and the E4000 RTL key (I have

also a E4000 RTL key).

When you push the "RTL/SDR key" button, do you have the following message:

"TNT receiver detected and TCP/IP connection done"?

If so, have you set the correction to 1000000 and not 0 in the Transceiver

window?

Is the gain of the RTL on "Auto" (best choice)?

Could you read the FM frequency in the DOS window of RTL_TCP.exe?

Hallo Patrick

Yes, E4000 with good antenna...

Now with your hint to setting the "Correction" to 1000000 run ok and

I was able to hear very well all FMW sounds, but at this time is not yet possible decode the RDS signals.

I have clicked the button "FM/RDS" in the Amateur modes and the RDS button (aboard "Slow PC") but I do not see any additional RDS decoding

Thanks for your patience

Hello Paolo,

Normally if the sound is correct, the RDS decoding must start (and you must

see something in the white bands).

If the level is saturated (overloaded, i.e >70 %), click on the '-' gain to

decrease the gain and permits RDS decoding.

Note: if RDS works you must see numbers appearing in the DOS window.

Prefer not to push "Slow PC" if possible.

Ciao Patrick,

Yes, the sound is correct but the RDS decoding don't start.

The levels are around (25/50%) and the button "Slow PC" is not pressed. Very strange!

"DOS window"? I have to find a new window open?... it is correct?

Hello Paolo,

If, FM spectrum (for "demodulated FM spectrum") is pushed, you must see the

RDS signal which corresponds to the DBS side band transmission around 57 KHz

(i.e. two weak carriers separated by about 2 KHz) on both side (57 and -57

KHz).

>"DOS window"? I have to find a new window open?... it is correct?

I mean the black window that you have in test version.
