Has anyone had a problem with the cursor jumping off frequency when trying to listen to a psk transmission? It is most prone to happen when listening to a weak signal or when a strong signal is very close by.

Thanks.

Walt......In the upper right hand corner on the control panel, do you have

the lock button depressed?

Hi, Bill;

Yes I do. But it still happens. I have the lock button depressed and am in slave mode, but the cursor still jumps off frequency. Also moves slightly after I lock on to a signal, and won't stay centered. Annoying because when it moves off center, it often loses the ability to decode.

Is there a way to shut off the AFC when in PSK31 mode? Maybe that way, the cursor will stay where I put it.

Why are you in the slave mode?? Use MAster mode.

Hello Walt,

The center frequency can change a bit. That's normal. The PSK soft tends to

center the phase (so that the mean phase be equal to 0).

About the cursor jump. If the Lock button is pushed, it is normal when you

click due to the transmission search. Otherwise it is not normal.

There is no AFC option (it is inherent to this mode).

Try to push on the "F" button which will introduce a sharp filter.

Hello all,

A word about Master/Slave mode.

In Master:

* in RX you follow the drift of the other Ham,

* afterwards, in TX you come back to your initial RX frequency, so you

impose your frequency and avoid a possible drift along the waterfall.

In Slave:

* in RX you follow the drift of the other Ham,

* afterwards, in TX you start at the final RX frequency.

The ideal would be to have only one Master, but you can't know the position

of the other Ham...

Thank you, Patrick;

Your answers are always so fast and easy to understand. I have it set up as you describe; maybe I was just being too picky.

I really like the newest version (4.14). Very nice!

Patrick,

Could you say more about the location and functionof the F button. The

only F button that I see is on the main screen below the record button

and between the DXKeeper button and the block of Amateur modes

buttons.? It only seems concerned with the length of the text fields.

AFAIK, Filters disables the other modes like psk31.
