Hi all,

I have started a group to talk about the QSI cameras, which ship with

Maxim LE and I use it with Maxim/DL. If there is any interest the

group is here:

tech.groups.yahoo.com/group/QSI-ccd/

and more info on the cameras can be found at:

www.qsimaging.com

Thanks,

Alan

Hi all,

Anyone know what camera error message 30005 for QSI cameras stands for?

The sky is clear for once and i'm getting totally mad over this error.

I have 2 QSI camera's a 540C on a 10" RXC and a 583 on a piggybacked EDQ65.

Windows XP shows both cameras under device manager as QSI 500 Series and doesn't

differentiate between models.

I am using Maxim running on XP under Vmware on a Mac. Maxim will use the last

connected camera for imaging, I can either physically connect and disconnect

cameras or in VMware I can virtually connect and disconnect cameras.

Luckily Vmware offers me an easy way to switch between cameras is there anyway

to do this in Maxim.

Thanks;

Peter

Peter:

This may or may not be a solution for you... I had a similar problem a couple of years ago with 2 Starlight cameras when I was running Maxim V4 under WinXP. I had upgraded to MaxIm V5 and the upgrade automatically installs into a new folder, allowing the older Maxim V4 to run simultaneously with the V5. I can now run multiple cameras with no problems or cross interference between the apps. I use MaxIm 5 for main image capture, guiding, and connection to TheSky for controlling a ParamountME; and use MaxIm 4.62 for the other main camera.

I currently do this on a ultra low power system motherboard (VIA C7 1.5 Ghz processor)and all works great for gathering raw image data. Of course I do not use this system for image processing as it is way under powered for that purpose.
