I have recently begun rgb cquisition with my Parsec 8300M, having done narrow band stuff earlier. An image of M15 had red rims/enlarged red stars, initially I thought due to poor red focus but now I realize it's because the camera is more sensitive to red: levels were simply higher. One fix is to expose red for slightly shorter times but there must be a way to fix this during processing that is more inventive than messing with the color balance after combining images. Any bright ideas?

Tony,

In the color combine process, you can specify the weighting to apply to each

color layer - they default to all having the same weight, but once you

determine your specific system requirements (read up on G2V calibration)

then you can plug those numbers in at the point you combine the mono layers.
