Please, could the moderator turn on HTML posting? I have had email posts rejected because I inadvertently put a hyperlink into the message, or underlined something. Also you can create posts using the Rich Text Editor in the web interface, only to have it rejected for posting because it has rich text in it!

Please no! Plain text is the proper format for email, and the only

secure one. HTML in a forum like this adds no value, but is likely to

cause problems for those of us who disable it in our readers.

Just tell your email client that this email address expects plain text,

and it shouldn't be possible to insert something that isn't allowed.

I second this opinion! NO HTML on the list!

The Yahoo HTML support is safe, limited, and useful. You can put an image into a

post. Imagine that, being able to do the "picture is worth a thousand words"

thing. Imagine being able to make a post like this, and what you'd have to write

without the picture:

tech.groups.yahoo.com/group/ASCOM-Cross/message/403

If the above is uninteresting or crazy, I won't say anything more.

Sigh. Well, somehow the ASCOM Talk group has survived for probably 5 years with

HTML turned on, and people do use the Rich Text feature there. You probably just

never noticed it if you have a text only emailer. Unsafe HTML has been filtered

out for years. Oh well.

Not everyone uses technology that is conducive to HTML posts. Not

everyone reads this forum on yahoogroups.com (I do not). Often, I find

myself reading posts here on a mobile phone, where text-only is far

superior.

That is why I voted no.
