The MaximDL 6.x documentation says that all these features are available. I tried it on only one occasion. It stopped imaging, waited until the object had crossed the meridian then then flipped the mount. Unfortunately, the plate solve picture that it took was streaked apparently there was enough time for the mount to settle down. I suspect that some parameter needs to be set to provide a delay. I havent tried it since but it would seem to be all there. CCDAP will do this very nicely for a couple of hundred bucks.Rgrds-Ross From: MaxImDL@yahoogroups.com [mailto:MaxImDL@yahoogroups.com] Sent: Saturday, October 24, 2015 8:13 AMTo: MaxImDL@yahoogroups.comSubject: Re: [MaxImDL] Re-acquiring the target after a Meridian flip

I wouldnt say no help, actually it points you in a direction to those who have already written programs that do exactly what you want to do without having to go into learning how to code or write scripts. Im guessing that you arent writing scripts now and dont have that knowledge so the time it would take you to learn, write, and debug any newbie scripts would likely be long and painful. Here you have those who have already solved those problems and give support. Thats huge and they already offer many thing more you may not have even thought of yet. Personally Ive been a long time user of ACP and it just works. When there is an issue, usually user error, Bob is quick to assist and help you resolve the problem. Unless this is something you just want to do for fun youre likely going to find it a bit more of a challenge as I think youll find it takes a very thorough knowledge of scripting, of which there are many flavors. Steve From: MaxImDL@yahoogroups.com [mailto:MaxImDL@yahoogroups.com] Sent: Saturday, October 24, 2015 4:23 AMTo: MaxImDL@yahoogroups.comSubject: RE: [MaxImDL] Re-acquiring the target after a Meridian flip

Have a look at Max Pilote (www.felopaul.com/), I think it will do everything you want (and more).

Neil, Maybe a better place to post this request would be the official SBIG/MaxIm group. You might find some help from the staff that would be more helpful.
