Doug - can you tell me how the RCX400 mod is progressing?

I am currently using the AutostarII handbox for controlling most of the

functions, but when Maxim can park the scope and save all the settings,

that would be excellent. Currently, negotiating the ASII menus is no fun.

Synchronising on selected stars is so much easier using Maxim, and I would

like to be able to 'unpark' and retain all the settings, including focus.

I can use Maxim to move between stars and galaxies, but have not yet got

the autofocus to work. On my first try, it activated the motors but

finished way out of focus. This will be *my* fault because I am not sure

about the settings.

Meade has arranged for a programmer to develop the driver for them. I have no

information on progress.

If you are using a "relative mode" focuser (as opposed to an absolute focuser

like an Optec TCF-S, RoboFocus, JMI SmartFocus, etc.), then you will want to use

FocusMax focusmax.org
