Hi Group,

I have just run some diagnostics on my Celestron CGE Pro mount and have concluded that the auto-guider RA negative correction signals are not being received by the mount,.. the cable is working perfectly from the guide head to the the port on my Celestron CGE pro mount, but still the X- or RA neg MOVE command from Maxim DL is not being received,..

any suggestions other than examining and perhaps replacing the auto guider port on the mount ?

James

How do you know the 'cable is working perfectly'. If you have just done

a resistance test, it doesn't prove the cable is actually making

connection at either end. If you have tried the same guider, and cable

to another mount, then it does. Start by cleaning the plug pins at both

ends, and the cable pins as well. Have a visual look into the sockets

and verify the pins are not bent.
