Question About Stacking withVersion 5.0

Hi Friends.

I have begun to use MaxIm DL to stack images.

The images are from a color ccd camera. Before opening the images

in MaxIm, they have already been calibrated, de-Bayered, normalized,

graded and aligned.

I have been using the SD Mask method to stack the images. Once

completed, the combined image is displayed on the screen. It has

been stretched by MaxIm and is always predominently green. I save

the image as a 16-bit TIFF file. When I strech the histogram in PS

there is a large bias toward green.

Can I assume that the stacking function in MaxIm is NOT contributing

to this green bias? The "stretched" image that opens in MaxIm after

stacking is for display purposes only and the saved TIFF file is

linear, correct?

Thank you.

Gordon
