Just a quick question: is there any idea if future versions of MaximDL will support focusers that dont have encoders or use stepper motors? for example the meade microfocuser? i downloaded focusmax to use but it would be nice to see this feature built into MaximDL directly. right now if i understand the MaximDL v5.x documentation correctly, the focuser needs to have a stepper motor with an encoder, correct?

Thanks,

Brian A.

Yes, a stepper motor *or* an encoder.

An improvement to the autofocus algorithm, to support DC motor focusers, is on

the to-do list.
