When I tell maxim about my optics, is there a place I should tell it about the Barlows or reducsers I am using. For example, If I am running a 2000mm focal lenth with a F6.3 reducer, do I still tell maxim my scope is 2000mm, or do recalculate the focal length with the reducer in place?

Answered my own question.

I hope the develpoers might consider having a dialog that can maintain a list of Barlows / Reducers becuase I tend to change these often depending on my target.

Look at File menu Configurations.

Really I'm just being lazy, I think it would be nice to have maxim calculate out the numbers as the imaging train is modified. and to avoid loading and saving configurations, make changes on the fly.

I got the idea after running Astroplanner. It kind of does this. Perhaps if I could load in the extra optics I own, and then on the camera control screen just drop down menu where I can select what I have - be cool to write it to a fits file too so at later dates I can look at the image data and see what my optic train was at that time.

Yeah - I get lazy.

Thanks,

Brant.
