I recently acquired a QHY11. There is an ASCOM driver you need to download from the QHY site. I have the same QHY filter wheel. Both the camera and the filter work fine with Maxim.

Tried that...doesn't work unfortunately. I am not sure what I am doing wrong here. I even rolled back to an older ASCOM version without success. In the camera setup it shows the QHY9 under ASCOM but when I try to connect I get an unable to connect message... What am I missing?

You may have done all of these.

1) Make sure you have the latest ASCOM platform version and updates installed.

2) Download and install the ASCOM driver for the camera from QHY.

3) Make sure the camera is powered up before before connecting USB so it can be discovered.

4) Run EZCAP to scan and check the camera and to set gain and offset.

5) try a different USB cable.

Hi Frank,Done all the steps without success. The strange thing is that the camera works fine with Ezycap and Nebulosity 3 which utilises ASCOM. I will persevere....

For future reference, this is always abad idea (rolling back), and anyway "ASCOM" is libraries in use bymany devices and drivers. I would start with the manufacturer.
