Should camera 2 be set to none or SBIG UNiversal, and should there be filter settings? I'm having trouble with getting CCD Autopilot to recognize the filters on the ST2000XM I've got.

You have the camera set to "Dual Chip Mode", correct?

Filters will be set on Camera 1.

Setup tab-->Setup Filter for the filters depending on which slot they're in.

Thanks Mark,

Yes I do have dual chip mode set, what isn't clear is the settings for camera 2. Should it be no camera or SBIG TC-237? I looked in Help and didn't see it. I'm reading it on my phone though and I may have missed it.

I have the same camera and Maxim knows that Camera 2 will not have its own filter settings based on how the SBIG Universal option is configured. .That is, it know that the guide is using the same filters as the main camera since that is what the settings are "telling" it. .

I don't have mine connected right now, you only connect to Camera 1, which will initialize it in Dual chip mode. .You can then go to the Guide Tab and make sure it's set to Camera 2. .I am doing this from memory, which is risky at best, but I'm pretty sure this is right (despite the clumsy explanation). .So, essentially, there is no Camera 2 that needs to be configured prior to connecting Camera 1.

Don't know what I did but all is well again. Camera 2 is set to SBIG universal and no filters. CCD Autopilot now reads it correctly. Whew!
