Does anyone use Maxim DL 5 to process Olympus RAW (.orf) images? I can't get it to work. I can read the individual images in, even convert them to color. But when I try something like Process > stack or Process > Calibrate, it fails. I can't even do a simple Process > image math > add/subtract/average. Stack, for example, chugs along through the images, then fails with an error message something like "Can't combine reference image into Group". Have tried this both before and after color conversion (deBayering).

Our v. of Maxim DL 5 works fine on monochrome CCD images from an SBIG STL 6303.

I'm running Maxim DL 5 in Win XP via VMware Fusion (windows client) on an imac. The images were made with an Olympus E-410 DSLR in RAW format.

Thanks for any tips!

Are you able to save the color-converted ORFs into FITs? Maybe doing that first will work. If not, try 16 bit TIFFs.
