Hi,I have 7 images I want to color convert and stack using DL6.11.This is my first time using a DSLR for night sky imaging. (I was travelling overseas).I made master calibration frames using 6 ea darks, bias and flats. Then Calibrated All. I saved after calibration. Then doing color convert the max number I could convert is 5 of the 6. I have tried 4 times. Usually stops working at 3rd or 4th image. My process is convert one, then use same settings on the next, then next.

Sony Nex7, -- writes 24MB ARW files which I rename to SRF files so I can open them. No Sony camera is listed in the Color Convert pull down menu. Using generic RGBUsing Windows 10 on Samsung ultrabook. With 7 images open, total memory useage is 3.1GB of my 4.4GB RAM.

Does my process above seem correct? Any ideas about crashing?

Thanks, Roger

Have you tried the automated process from the Process -> Stackmenu item?

This will save a lot of manual work and is more memory efficient.

I tried to use auto process it to load files and calibrate. Nothing loaded. I think because I had not yet learned I had to change the file extension per below. I thought it was because the FITS header was limited info. I just put camera on self timer and imaged and took calibration frames. Then manually made groups. But now I realize none would load because of file extension. I will try you suggestion today. Thanks! But any ideas out there on why DL would crash with what I did??

Thanks,
