For visual observing, do you have to properly polar align the mount

prior to use it with Gemini or if rough alignment of the mount, then

initial and additionals alignments with the Gemini system will do it ?

Thanks for your time.

Hi Pierre,

Presently I am into visual viewing and I do not have a polar scope

with my G11/Gemini. What I do is, I make sure the star Polaris is in

the center of the polar scope bore and do 3-4 star alignments on one

side and 1-2 star alignments on the other side. I will have to buy a

polar scope when I start CCD imaging " hopefully soon!". Most of my

visual images are in or close to the center of a 12mm radian eyepiece

using a C9.25 ota 2350 mm focal length. Hope this helps you.

Clear Skies,

Chris
