Now that Pocono Mnt. Optics is out of business, where can I buy my

Losmany components in the same general area. PMO was very good, but

unfortunately there out of business. I need a low cost distributor

that is in my driveable range.

I live an hour from PMO and will miss them. I have used Andirondak

Video several times. They keep a lot of Losmandy parts but

unfortunately they are the most expensive dealer expect to pay about

a 10% premium on plates etc. Mind you, I am not being critical here,

it is the double shipping you are paying for not greed on anyone's

part.

I use Adorama in NYC for all my lens and Bogan tripod needs. They

ship promptly and I usually have my item within 2 days. The only

down side to Adorama is they close for most Jewish holidays and holy

days.

But the best deal around is the NEAF each May in Suffran NY. You get

great deals on Televue lens (30-40% off). Most of the major Astro

dealers have booths there. A lot of fun.

Good luck.

But the plus side is that they are open every Sunday, so if you order over

the weekend it gets shipped Monday morning instead of Tuesday morning.

I've used them for photo gear for quite a few years.

My favorite dealer is OPT (Oceanside Photo and Telescope). Just

picked up DSC delrin covers and aluminum motor covers, both, stock

items. They advertise in S & T. web: www.optcorp.com
