Has anyone successfully downloaded and tried

www.aerith.net/misao/pixy/index.html

Its a big set of file and a humungous set of cataloges!

I've installed the Pixy-2 program and can run it but only on FITS.

I can't seem to install properly the JimiProClasses zip.

When I run the Pixi setup buttons, no matter where I put the Jimi program

(in Java 1.2.2 or in the Pixi file ) I get an error that says JimiProClasses

is not installed .

It has to have a proper classpath or you can't open TIFF,Gif,jpeg etc

Anyone with ideas?

thanks

Hi Chuck

I loaded Pixy-2 without the JimiProClasses.zip but it will only open fits

but...none of my fits files...only those in the example file.

The Jimi zip is supposed to let you open a bunch of image formats.

I'll keep trying...let me know if you succeed.

It looks like a good program but I can't work it very well yet.

Also,Pixy-2 doesn't install anywhere. It sits in a folder you create and then

I open it from that folder everytime.Strange?

Hi Chuck

the blank image box happene dto me at first too.

It usually meant that on the setup button, that a path was set incorrectly.

Also, there are 2 files from the JAXP1.0.1 that need to be copied into the

JDK1.2.2 (jaxp.jar and parser.jar into

c/programfiles/javasoft/jre/1.2/lib/ext
