Anyone who is remotly controling their observatory PC on another

PC... What software do you use for remote control. I downloaded some

freeware (I think is's called Remote Control) and it work ok, except

for DOS shells (ie CCDOPS). PCAnywhere is way to expensive (>

$500.). What are your suggestions?

Check out RAdmin. It is $35 for a two computer license and has been

working well for me. I don't recall the website but a search will

certainly turn it up. The installation and setup were very easy and

it has been reliable over my Ethernet home network.

Try:

Allows remote access to a CP and it's free!

Hi,

For Windows 98, ME, NT & 2000, 'VNC' from Bell labs is quite superb,

totally free, and can be downloaded from www.uk.research.att.com/vnc. If

you are able to run Windows XP then there is a remote control server

client bundled free of charge. I would not pay a penny for a commercial

remote control package, the free offerings are that good.

I'm trying VNC right now and it does seem to work quite well. It

still doesn't handle DOS full screen mode. So I can't display CCDOPS

images unless I run MAXIM on the client PC and bring them up from the

remote PC. Other than that, it does work quite well.

Thanks for the suggestions.
