Mr. Nowell,

I see from previous posts your not too keen on adjusting that little

reticule. It is delicate to be sure and several on this group have

broken theirs, but I've adjusted the 2 that I own, perhaps twice each

for 4 times at bat. Haven't had a problem yet and I think if one

never really tightens up the screws, only makes contact it is no

problem. Of course a lot of patience and sticking to the above rule

are required.

I guess we are all going to have to change it out somewhere about the

year 2010?

Mr Povlick:

I think the 3rd reticle marking is supposed to be valid for 2010.

That would sugest it's good till 2015. Ah hell by then I'll have to

buy some damned go-to system anyhow. Or I'll be too feeble. or I'll

have seen everything there is to see. Why don't you take us a nice

pic of ngc 7008 btw. It's visually very appealing and is nicely

situated right now in Cepheus.

One of the reasons some of us break reticles is because you have used

up the continental allocation of successful reticle adjustments. So

we're better off leaving well enough alone.
