Hello gents,

www.ebay.com/itm/Radio-Shack-Power-SWR-Meter-for-CB-/300696933232?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item4602ef1370

Please look at the item in the above sale. It's an SWR meter with two large RF connectors on the back. I forget the name of these connectors but EVERY piece of RF equipment I view on ebay has them. I am looking for an SWR meter that I could use for QRP operations. Those connectors (and the lack of BNC connectors) seem to be my limiting factor. My question/complaint is that I don't have any of these connectors yet they seem to be on everything. Is there SWR equipment made with BNC connectors?

I see plenty of SWR meters online and am comparing the logic of buying one made for CB against buying parts and building my own. I think I'd get a kick out of building my own but I also think I'd spend 3x as much in doing so. That is, unless I could scrounge parts from here and there.

Ed

Those are PL259 also known as UHF connectors. OK on HF higher powerrating than BNC.
