Has anyone here tried using a observing hood, etc to block the bright

light of the sun while using a PST?

Is the shield you use anything like this one:

It's temporarily out of stock so its pricing is shown as US$00.00

Not quite,

Solar-mate observing shade. The scope fits through a hole in the shield.

It can carry three eyepieces and has a list of Solar facts written

by the Starnford SOLAR center on the shade facing the viewer.

You attach the scope to the tripod or whatever through the shield plate.

The company make a number of accessaries for Coronado products.

Hope this helps
