This simply means you turn it off and turn it back on again.

Actually,Power cycling you should take the battery off then turn the rigon. This will drain a any voltage that is still in some capacitors so nowafter a full minute put the battery back, power up and you should beOK.I even do that to my old 1988 ford wagon.I pull the positive lead then let it set for an hour and the computerworks better.Comcast is always telling me to power cycle my modem. One thing for sure,it won't hurt anything.BOB AF2QIn a message dated 5/2/2013 6:26:11 P.M. Actually, power cycling is turning off a piece of equipment and turning it back on. What you refer to is a hard reboot.
