I shot this Halpha shot last night. I had intended to take about five

subexposures of 30 minutes each but after three the clouds got me. In

fact the third was ruined by the clouds so I only had two frames for

processing.

Since the exposures were 30 minutes there fortunately was enough

signal to make it almost a good image.

CED90 is located at the southern end of the Seagull Nebula near Gum 1

This is 2 x 30 minutes shot at f/6.75 using the AP180EDT with the

0.75x telecompressor. I used Astrodon 6nm FWHM Halpha for filter and

the FLI IMG6303E camera cooled to -40C

Hi Richard,

This is pretty impressive for such short exposure. It almost looks

like a Sierra nightscape with trees and clouds above the trees.

Glad to see you are having some clear weather. It just keeps getting

worse here. The sun isn't even making it out now in the day.

I can almost loose the dogs in fog in the back yard. I am considering

going to Lockwood Saturday, but growing concerned over the clouds and

fog.

BTW, are you using water cooling on your 6303? I would assume so

based on -40 degrees.

Rick
