How about a relatively unremarkable image with an AP155 and AP1200

mount as a break from the F ratio/SNR thread? This is my first

shortish focal length deep sky image, so I way overdid the individual

subexposures with my ST10XE camera. I started the sequence, and didn't

notice the blooming until after the series was done. I had about 25-30

stars that bloomed, so don't look at them! Best regards, Mark

Mark, that is really nice. Now, did you take the same shot with your

16" so we can debate which has better S/N?

He would need to shoot about 20 frames to get the same pix.
