Hi,

I have had an AP600EQMD for a while now and enjoy its high quality

very much !

Here are a few images:

I am near the Equator, at 1 deg north latitude and it works very

fine.

I am thinking of getting a bigger mount in the future, I have noted

that there is a low latitude adjuster with the AP900 but would

prefer an AP1200 :

- can I use the 1200 at my low latitude ?

- Can I get a low latitude adjuster custom made at AP ?

- If not, if I make such a device in a workshop nearby, would the

mount work as fine ? Would the GOTO software work fine ?

Thanks and clear skies

Hello Jean,

I live 10 deg Lat and I have no problem with the low lat adapter with the

AP900. I have just once concern though in you situation. The

counterweight WILL hit the pier at 0 Lat. You may have to carve a hole in

the pier for clearance...

Regards,

Chris

Hi Chris,

With the AP600, the couterweight clears the pier by a few cm.

I wonder about the AP1200 ...

Cheers

Jean-Yves
