Re: [ap-gto] 900 GTO wait list

After a long discussion with my wife I just put my name down on the

list and I figure I'll probably come up in 2008 at the current rate of

production.

Is this a reasonable estimate? It's more for managing my expectations

than anything else. I think if it was much longer I'd probably have to

get an interim mount like a G-11, which I would rather not do.

Thanks

Jeremy

I have no idea about the AP900 wait time, but you can bet it is

measured in years. I would recommend you go with the G11 in the

interim just so you have something to use. I did this and was very

happy with the G11 solution until the AP900 arrived. The G11 is a good

mount and is sold easily on Astromart. In retrospect, I wish I had

keep the G11.

Hi Bryan,

Another thought is to buy a used AP on Astromart, keep your place in

the waiting list and sell the used one on A-Mart when the new one

comes in. I did that and have a wonderful AP900 that is working

flawlessly. When my number comes up (hopefully next year), I will be

selling mine on A-Mart to someone who will be very happy to get it

also. Everyone wins.

Just an idea,

Rick

I have been on the list since 10/03 and went ahead and bought a new MI-250

this past spring. It is a very nice mount, and the price is almost

affordable :)

When my name comes up, it will be a tough decision to make. I may end up

with both if I can figure out how to sneak that past the wife???

There are some nice MI-250's that come up on Astromart also, and Larry has

every bit as good of customer service as AP does.

Good luck,

Dean
