For some reason it appears I have 2 copies of the ASCOM driver. One opens from The Sky X - it shows no preset locations. Another copy, same version, opens from SkyTools, and it has the three preset locations i entered earlier. They cant run simultaneously. Ray, any suggestions?

This is because COM interop works on a user basis (each user can have one instance of a global COM Object). So, that

means that one of those apps was run as administrator and one not. Run both as administrator, or neither, but don't mix

them.

Thanks Ray, that was it! Both are now Run as Admin and they work together fine. Any reason why the 3 predefined locations got lost when I switch to Run as Admin?

Each user (e.g. your account and Administrator) has a different storage location.
