If you use the Software Bisque Sky X driver for the AP1600GTO will the PEC still work or is it only enabled by the Ascom driver or the hand controller?

Once you turn PE on it stays on. Once you turn PE off it stays off. Even thru a power cycle. Doesn't matter what program commands the on/off. The last programmed command always wins, no matter which programs did what they did.  The keypad is a program. If you use the keypad to start (initialize) the mount AND you have the keypad set to PE ON, then PE will be on, regardless of what other program you may have used in a previous session to turn it off. Once you are in the session and you use another program to turn it off, then that command overrides the initial keypad command. Last command always wins. That's what you get when you mix and match several programs. So, to summarize: 1) the program which you use to initialize the mount at power up is the one that sets initial conditions, which include the PE correction. 2) Last command always overrides the previous command. That's it in a nutshell. Addendum: Right now the keypad does not automatically update any changes to the conditions of the mount done by another outside program. That will change in future keypad software updates - the keypad will scan all conditions and settings every few seconds and update itself to any changes made by an external command. Right now the keypad software cannot do that. Rolando  -----Original Message-----
