I have a problem with one of the four polar axis lock knobs. After making adjustments to the polar axis I tighten down the polar axis lock knobs. 3 of the 4 snug quickly and firmly. The 4th encounters increasing tension as tightened never finding a firm seat. I don't know if something is out of tolerance or loose. Unfortunately the axis adjustment changes as the knob is tightened. I expect also that changes occur during operation. Any ideas?

Steve,  When you make your altitude adjustments, it should be done with the knobs snug (just tighten the one knob a bit more and it will snug).  You always want to be pushing upwardsas you make your final altitude adjustments.  Tighten the knobs a bit more and then make your final adjustment upwards.

If you overshoot, then loosen the knobs, lower the altitude, then begin your upward adjustment again.
