Re: [planeplotter] 5 Minute delay for own aircraf to show from SBS to PP

Have got a problem but just tracked it down this evening.

Background info,

BIOS in PC went down, purchased same brand PC/m/board from EBAY - local lad,

swapped over working H/dve to newish EBAY PC, bit of hardware difference,

Windows works etc along with all other software no need for a 10 hour plus

software install, happy bunny - well almost.

It takes 5 mins for my output on SBS to appear on PP (5 min delay - sound

familiar) as green from my SBS output and orange for other uploaders.

Orange aircraft appear within less than 20 secs in PP and I can MLAT no

problem with other users input.

If I take an aircraft at random lets say N804DH, time on PP display for all

recent aircraft could be 21:15, when my 'green' aircraft from my SBS kicks

in the time displays as 21:10, it loses 5 mins and the clock (time) stays OK

bottom right of PP, I could MLAT on N504DH OK before my display kicks in but

unable to when my display kicks in, 'no recent data for selected aircraft'

appears - turn of the SBS and I can MLAT again on same aircraft.

No settings appear to have changed, have compared with Netbook PP and all

seems to be OK.

Two dll's are in are in SBS folder and older dll in system32 folder has been

renamed and I am using Basestation_enabled.exe

Is it a case of I can't see the wood for the trees, any ideas?

Cheers

Sounds like you have not run the SBS1Spy patch.

Rename Basestation.exe was the old way for FileFreedom. SBS1Spy file

details are in the PP File section or direct link is:

piopawlu.net/projects/sbs1-rt/

Hi Dave

I may be wrong, but it sounds as if your sbs1patch.exe file has gone missing.

Full details on how to download and apply this patch appear on the Wiki page planeplotter.pbworks.com/Using+Plane+Plotter+with+the+SBS-1+and+BaseStation+software about two thirds down the page (Method 1).

Hope that is indeed your problem and you can get it sorted.

Tim

Hi Tim,

File that's in my folder is sbs1patch130.exe and BS is already patched.

I'll copy my files from my Netbook over my others to see if that makes any

difference.

Appears to be sorted,

When new PC booted up all icons on desktop where bunched up, I had two

Basestaion Icons, one was the old enabled the other the patched one. All my

plane related icons were moved to far right of desktop including the enabled

one (file freedom) and not the patched file, Basically I had been using the

wrong shortcut - not the patched file.

Cheers Pat and Tim.
