Hi Rick,

Thanks for your e-mail.  Probably not since the RTTY version's rules are so different, but I hope to create a program for CQ WW RTTY at some point.

Hi everyone,

Is there a N3FJP program that supports this contest?  Or if not, what are operators using to log contacts other than N1MM?  I'll be using FLdigi to generate the RTTYsignal so I just need something to log the QSO's.  I'm not out to set a record.  Just want to up the DX/WAS totals on RTTY.

Thanks,

John - WB8RFB

Hi John,

Thanks for your e-mail.

The CQ WW RTTY version of the contest has different rules than the CW and Phone versions, so I'll need to write a separate program for the RTTY contest.

Question on the software. I am using the CQ WW RTTY and having a blast but wanted to know if we were not using the software can we import contacts from a digital program in to the CQ WW RTTY program and it figure up all the stats??? I noticed there was an import function in the program so was wondering about that.

Hi Dan,

If you import via ADIF from another program, you will not have all the stats available to you.  Be sure to interface one of the digital programs (Fldigi, PSK Express, N7YG Digial Engine or W4ELP's bridge to DM 780) with my CQ WW RTTY software as I detailed in Friday's e-mail, log in real time and you will have access to it all!

Enjoy!

I am using the software but I saw that import function and I thought if we used another program we could import and the stats would be calculated.  No problem.

I do not use rig interface but am using the CQ WW RTTY along with the N7YG Digital Engine and it is working flawlessly so far.    I thought the STATE would go over but I guess there is no way of knowing what the state is but it is so easy to just click on the STATE and pick the State function it puts it right over there.

Well done on both programs!!

Scott,

For the First time I. was able to successfully operate RTTY and had great fun.I read in the earlier email you said :"with my CQ WW RTTY software as I detailed in Friday's e-mail, log in real time and you will have access to it all!"

So my question is if I manually enter from my paper log will your software Still figure it all?

Right now your thinking ,PAPER logs!!!. Yes sometimes but not All contacts.

Hi Ken,

Thanks for your e-mail.  I'm glad you had fun!  This was my first ever serious RTTY contest effort and I really enjoyed it!

From the menu options click Settings > Post Contest Mode.  You can then enter your paper contacts.

Enjoy!

Scott,

Looks like I will have to manually adjust the time and date! My extra service. for not using it live.

Scott,

Well it appears I finally did something right without a dozen error messages. Not a lot of entries but at least I did learn how to do it.

So now to get the contest file into the primary log do I Export Contest log and Import into ACL?

Ken

Ken - you can use the Transfer via API function. I used it and it worked great even though I wasn't sure. I the went in and had the program fill the empty fields based on what the calls and QRZ.

Hi Ken,

In addition to the API transfer, here is another alternative:

How do I transfer my contest contacts to AC Log and specify the correct mode that LoTW and QRZ will accept?

Thanks for your kind words on the software!

Enjoy!

Scott,

I used the ADIF method with no problems.

And without your support and documentation I would be LOST.

Thanks

Just for Thought:

HOWEVER my very own research .has.yield a somewhat different storyline :Recently my.attention turned to identifying who the very first ham radio operator was..................One of Noah's sons. Operated /MM using a spARK gap.
